Your period is late, and you’re worried you might be pregnant. An unplanned pregnancy is overwhelming. Actually, it’s downright frightening. Take a deep breath. We are here to help you. Come to the Women’s Resource Center for a free pregnancy test.
Signs of Pregnancy
Just because you’ve missed your period doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. Several reasons can cause a change in your menstrual cycle. A hormonal imbalance, rapid weight loss or gain, or stress can all lead to a missed period. See if you are experiencing any of these other symptoms too:
- Tender or swollen breasts
- The constant feeling you’re going to throw up
- Having to pee often
- Feeling more tired than usual
- Cramping and/or back pain
- Change in appetite or sense of smell
- Mood swings
The fastest way to know if you are pregnant is to take our free and confidential pregnancy test.
Your Next Step
After a positive test, you will want to have an ultrasound. In addition to free pregnancy tests, the Women’s Resource Center offers free on-site ultrasounds. No matter what you decide about your unplanned pregnancy, getting an ultrasound is essential. It will tell you how far along you are and if your pregnancy is viable. You need to know the answer to those questions before you take your next step, especially if you are considering abortion. Once you’ve confirmed your pregnancy, we will sit down with you and review your options. Yes, believe it or not, you do have options.
